Not in Mesa but a must see in Phoenix is the Heard Museum at 2301 N. Central Ave. which spotlights the cultures of the Native Americans of the Southwest.

Mark's recommendations regarding the architectural treasures of F.L. Wright can be further enhanced by a visit to the Burton Barr Central Library at 1221 N. Central Ave. Although not influenced by Wright's style it is still an interesting architectural site.
