Hello Ziners!
When in Rome do what the Romans do! A motto I truly believe in. When traveling I try to go to the most local/less touristy/authentic restaurants I can find. (Though it takes some convincing my boyfriend since he sometimes likes to taste Mexican, Greek, or Japanese in let's say France.) Aside from the added bonus of usually having cheaper prices, they tend to also offer interesting conversation and discovery from the locals. I never shun a roadside stand either and convince myself that if I eat it with confidence it won't make me sick! Ahh... but when I come home I head straight for a Japanese restaurant (unless I happen to have traveled to Japan - a country I have yet to visit). Los Angeles has the best and it always seals the fact that I am truly home. Lidia (in Los Angeles... still) |
