Subject: Re: Ethnic foods
One of my favorite parts of travel is definitely the food! I like to research the typical or specialty cuisine of a particular city, and then I seek it out. For instance, Veal Saltimboca in Rome (I never eat veal at home), seafood risotto in Venice, okonomiyaki in Kyoto (it's sort of a Japanese savory pancake), even fish tacos in Baja. I've had so much fun doing this, and then I know what these things should really taste like if I attempt to make them at home.
