|Subject: Re: April in Paris - As Wonderful as it Sounds?|
The ONLY times I've been to Paris have been in April. Yes, it can be rainy and chilly, but I've been very fortunate in that the weather when I was there (both early April and late) was sunny and in the 70's.
We went to Versailles as a day trip and found it to be wonderful ... some flowers were in bloom and of course the house itself is magnificent. Ile de la Cite is not to be missed with Notre Dame and then of course all the museums (if it does rain, that's the day or days to see them). A simple stroll down the Champs Elysee from Place de la Concord to the Eiffel Tower is wonderful for shopping and people watching (plan on a few hours in an outdoor cafe along the way). There are so many things to do and see in Paris that I could go on forever. But I'm sure you get the idea .... yes, Paris IS as wonderful in April as your imagination suggests ... in fact, it's wonderful ANY time!
