?? asked: Can anyone recommend towns east of Faro to spend a week. I'm looking for charm, peace, quiet, and no crowds.

I found the western Algarve much more uncrowded....Sagres where I stayed twice & Salema are both very charming, quiet, uncrowded & peaceful. They are not far from Faro, about an hour's drive.
