|Subject: Re: Wish Lists? (John's Mexico travelogue)|
Thanks for your kind words regarding the travelogue. As for including beach time along with a trip to the colonial cities of Mexico that is no problem. In fact, our normal mode of travel in Mexico involves a cultural week followed by a beach week. On the trip to Querétaro and San Miguel de Allende we were limited on time and sadly had to skip a trip to the coast.
The best way to combine the coast with the Colonial cities is to enter Mexico by way of Guadalajara. That way you can visit the colonial cities such as Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende then return through Guadalajara and head down to the Pacific Coast to any number of seaside spots between Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta. Additionally, you can always fly into Guadalajara (or Leon) and fly out of Manzanillo or Puerto Vallarta.
When the time comes to start planning just ask and I'll be more than happy to help.
