Hi Joy,
I haven't posted in awhile, but NYC is one of my favorite places during the holiday season (I'm partial, of course)! Re events/concerts - check out the schedule of events for the Cathedral of St. John the Divine - it's an extraordinary cathedral with wonderful concerts of all types during this season. If you can't get to see a concert there, take a trip up to see it anyway - it's beautiful. Their website is http://www.stjohndivine.org I'm not positive, but I think that Broadway is suffering a bit this holiday season, so you may be able to pick up some tickets. Man of La Mancha is superb, the new production of La Boheme on Broadway, a revival of Our Town is great, etc. A little off the beaten path, and if you're an opera fan, is the Amato Opera Company on the lower east side. A small company in a tiny theater - just wonderful. I don't know what they're offering this season, but their website is http://www.amato.org Definitely get to the Metropolitan Museum - a great place to start. Enjoy!
