|Subject: Re: Cheap Hotels|
Years ago I stayed in a Times Square (NYC) hotel back when Times Square was really BAD! Manhattan was snowed in and we had run out of money (this was before bank machines offered money around the clock!) A young police officer warned us about the hotel but we had an uneventful night and were able to get home the next day.
Some cheap hotels are wonderful and Albergo Bernini where we stayed 6 years ago in Siena provided us with a million dollar view from our room. Our budget room didn't have private facilities and we used the hall bathroom. This had a bathtub with hand shower and no shower curtain so that we couldn't seem to use it without soaking the entire room. But the view of duomo and the rooftops of the city were spectacular. Friendly people too! If you want to see out our window, go to: http://FrancesW.tripod.com/italy2.html
Ziners, I am interested in your recommended cheaper accommodation. Let's get the good ones all listed in our hotel database.
