Thanks for the welcome to TheTravelzine.
My name is Eric Greene, a 56 year old Network Manager for Bellsouth in Atlanta. My wife, Candace, is a pediatrician for Kaiser Permanente.
As new empty nesters we have been taking the opportunity to do some traveling; both in North America and (to this point) France. We have been to France three times: the first trip was a driving exploration from Aix en Provence to Toulouse and back with stops in Arles, Nimes, Carcassonne, Narbonne, Cords sur Ciel and Montpelier. The second trip consisted of a week in Paris in a rental apartment and then a week driving to Caen, Bayeux, Giverny, Mont St. Michel, Chartres and touring some of the D-Day sites. Final trip was another week in the same rental apartment in Paris, another visit to Mont St. Michel, Chartres and Giverny (the wife is a big Monet fan!) and then down to the Loire with stops in Angers and three nights in Tours to visit chateaux.
Our best recent North American trips include a wonderful stay and theater in Stratford, Ontario and a week in New York City.
We are looking forward to finding help planning a trip to Italy in 2004 and the UK in 2006. Our usual plan is a trip to Europe one year followed by a trip to somewhere in North America the next. We will be touring Colorado in June of 2003 for our US trip. Interspersed with these travels are regular visits to Stuart, Florida where we have a condo and, for me, an annual trek to the Keys for the Winter Star Party: a gathering of 600 amateur astronomers from around the world seeking the warms skies of the Keys in February.
Look forward to sharing information with the folks on TheTravelzine.
