Frances West asked about trattorie in Naples.
Let me strongly suggest that you have at least one meal at Brandi's, which claims to have invented the Marguerita pizza. If you do go there, see if Mario Scorzo is still a waiter. Give him our regards, and tell him that we probably will see him this May.
Brandi's is on a small side street off Via Chiaia, which is part of the nice shopping area, and down this street from Caffe Gambinus, the famous coffee shop, where a drink or desert is a must at some point. Gambinus is right at Piazza Trieste e Trento, where the opera house and Galleria are located.
