Subject: Re: Travel books and gifts |
Greetings!
I love to read books related to places I'm travelling. This summer while in Santa Fe, NM, I read Willa Cather's _Death Comes to the Archbishop_. The book that first fired my desire to visit Italy was Irving Stone's _The Agony and the Ecstasy_, about Michelangelo. This year for Christmas I bought a book on Walt Disney World, where we hope to spend the holidays next year. :-) As for travel-related gifts, I am hoping to get a digital camera. I borrowed one for our last couple trips and it was quite wonderful. And some collapsible walking sticks would be great for hiking. I'm also giving some travel gifts, including a quick-drying travel shirt and a set of Lexan utensils (great for camping and for picnics). This summer my sister and I are giving our mom the gift of travel - we're taking her into New England (her choice of destination) to catch various music festivals. Happy holidays, everyone.
