|Subject: US travelers going abroad|
There was an article in our paper about a new rule
from the federal government requiring all visitors to
the US and Americans travelling abroad to provide
information to their carriers (airlines, cruise ships and
cargo flights and vessels).
This personal information, including identities and
travel plans, will be imput into a data base to be used
by several government agencies..
All this under the guise of national security
and part of the war on terrorism.
Im as patriotic as anyone but, will any terrorist state that they are boarding a plane to Paris or Rome to commit an act of terror??? How will big brother knowing about our travel plans make us safer?? The hijackers travelled under their own names.
Am I paranoid??? What are your thoughts on this?? Marta & George Tamarac FL
