|Subject: Anyone help with planning a route in Northern Italy near the Lakes?|
One leg of a June trip coming up this summer is to travel from Chur, Switzerland to either Como, Italy or Lugano, Switerland. I would like to travel this in one day and stay the night. Here are the questions:
1. Is one day ok for this driving trip (it is just a touring day on the way to Zermatt and France) 2. What would be the most scenic alpine route by car to follow? The approximate distance? 3. Would you choose Como or Lugano to spend the night?
I know there is a much more direct route by just heading East to Zermatt but I want to see a little of the countryside around the Italian lakes.
All help will be greatly appreciated.
