Subject: The Amalfi Coast
Hi Ziners,

For those of you who've been to the Amalfi Coast, I need your advice. My husband and I are planning to spend two weeks in Tuscany next September and then visit the Amalfi Coast for 3-4 days. We can't decide if we should drive to the Amalfi Coast from Rome or take a bus (train?) to get down there and use public transport while we're there. While in Tuscany we'll be sharing a car with another couple. Our plans are to drop them off in Rome where they will be flying back to Toronto and to either drop the car off in Rome and continue on by bus to the Amalfi Coast or keep the car and use it to go to the Amalfi Coast and back to Rome.

What in your opinion is the better way to do this? Has anyone done the trip by bus, and if so what was it like? We'd also like to stop in Pompeii for half a day on the way back. How easy is it to do this by bus?
