My husband and I spent a night in Annecy in 1996 before heading on to catch the Tour de France. We stayed at Imperial Palace and it was wonderful. It was right on the lake with beautiful gardens in front. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the lake.

Rooms were not bad sized and the bath was thoroughly modern.

We also had dinner at their restaurant and I still remember that I had lobster raviolis, so they must have been pretty good to stick in my mind .
