Paul, being that Seattle is not that far from Vancouver, it might pay
for you to check out some of Canada's charter airlines if you are
looking for a cheaper fare. Air Transat is one such carrier and they do
have a website. An alternative is to look to a different city other
than Rome e.g. fly to London Gatwick or Stansted on a cheaper charter
and then hook on to a cheaper European carrier such as RyanAir to get
you to Rome or also try http://www.buzzaway.com. It's another cheaper
carrier flying out of England. Hope this helps.
