Yes, there are better deals to be had by flying to London and then taking Ryanair or buzzaway and others to the Continent OR SAS to the north and then one of the European carriers down to Italy. We have done this a couple of times, most recently in May and we saved approx $200 a ticket over fares from California direct to Milan. Good luck. Peter Young
