I, for one, was planning on trying to slide in a tiny can of sterno over which I can heat up my backpacking freeze-dried meal. I know the little whisper lite backpacking stoves are a currently no-no in carryons, but that sterno can should look like lip salve. Maybe.
Really, as a vegetarian whose meal hopes have been dashed on more than one long flight (such as the one to Oz!), I will continue to bring my own food. I can almost always coax a cup of hot water into which to put my soup! I order up my veggie meal in advance, but so often by the time the trolley gets to me, fish or chicken entrees remain. Hrmph.
