|Subject: Montreal Hotels|
As an ex-Montrealer we usually stay with relatives as well, but for my husband's birthday we came into Montreal and stayed at the Hotel de la Montagne on rue de la Montagne (Mountain Street). It's quite a bit smaller than the Chateau Versailles and is decorated in a late 19th Century (Belle Epoch)style. It's a bit kitch but not in too gauche a way. I think breakfast is included in the price. The hotel gets booked pretty quickly, so you have to book early. There's also the Hotel Vogue across the street which is a beautifully decorated boutique hotel but it's quite a bit more expensive.
