|Subject: Re: Costa del Sol (was GTG)|
There is a lot going for the Costa del Sol at the moment. I have been living here now for more than a year and I absolutely love the diversity of life. One moment you are on the Coast with all its activity and all the different nationalities living and being in a vibrant community and the next moment, only a short drive inland, you can be in a totally different environment with the typical Spanish whitewashed villages in the mountains. A little further inland, in Granada there you can hit the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada.
Things not to be missed here, there are many: * Malaga, a wonderful city with lots of history and art. Take a city tour by horse and cart and you will see all the best bits of the town. * The caves of Nerja to the East * The vibrant tourist areas of Torremolinos and Benalmadena/Arroyo de la Miel are worth a visit for the shops/restaurants and the touristy feel you are getting. * Alora, a white village, only 20 minutes from Malaga inland. * Rhonda
