|Subject: London for Cheap|
Here are a few London for cheap hints. Almost all London theaters (except the popular big musicals) have a deal for students (and seniors). Appear at the theater about an hour before showtime and tickets are 1/2 price. Some theaters have very inexpensive student tickets, but you have to stand in line for these hours before showtime.
Consider groundling (standing in front of the stage) tickets at the Globe Theater. When we were there 3 years ago these tickets were £5.
There is a 1/2 price ticket booth at Leicester Square Don't be fooled by the ticket booths near the Underground stop. The 1/2 price booth is at the bottom of the square.
A good, inexpensive restaurant is the Stock Pot. There are 3 or 4 locations, all in or near the theater district.
Four days in London is a short time for such a magnificent city, but don't hesitate to go.
