Subject: Re: Hotel and Airline points - A dollar value??
Paul,

I have always used a value of about 2 cents for each of my frequent flyer miles. I think this is an amount that is a fairly common rule of thumb.

So if I want to fly somewhere domestically where the standard award costs 25,000 miles, the break even is approximately $500. If I cannot get a fare for less than that, I use miles.
