Will you not have the ability to get to the local grocery store? It seems it would be better to take a cab to a Publix and do some shopping than to lug a suitcase. The Publix stores have a fairly nice selection of wines, so you could even get that there.

As to your question about getting from Ft. Lauderdale to Boca, there is a shuttle service that operates from the airports the name of which is now escaping me. Perhaps try checking the Ft. Lauderdale yellow pages on line for shuttle services. The other alternative that I would consider would be a limousine service. A cab ride would be quite costly.
