Greetings all!
In late April I will be going to Austria and Hungary with my 12 y.o. son. I
am looking for family roots along the old Austro/Hungarian border. We will
land in and leave from Frankfurt, and have 2 weeks. My plan so far is to
get the rental car (by noon) and leave for the Romatic Road area for the
first 2 days. The flight over is 10 hours nonstop. Does that sound like a
reasonable place to get to for some R& R? I would like some info on small
gasthausen or similar accommodations, since I think most hotels will be
beyond our budget.
I have received some wonderful info on Hungary, but would like some info on
things to do in Austria, places to stay both Austria and Hungary, etc. In
other words, how about if you all plan my trip for me? (Just kidding!)
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.
