Subject: Re: Mt. St. Michel accommodations
Hello Evan

my suggestion is neither charming nor a bargain, but last summer we found it clean and well located. Just before driving on the long dam, you cross a sort of a commercial neighbourhood, with hotels and restaurants. One of them is the Hotel Formule Vert. Sort of travelling salesmen's hotel, but new and well kept. I paid 93 euros for a family room, a double bed plus two singles on an upstairs space. The room was a bit little, with plastic furniture, but everything was new and the buffet breakfast was above average. From there you can either walk (2 km), drive or take the bus (every 15 min) to the Mount. If I remember well, on the other side of the road there was another hotel/campsite with bungalows, which looked a bit worn out though. Bye
