|Subject: Re: Question about Toronto|
There are a couple of ways to get downtown from the airport. The cheapest way is by city bus (TTC). The Airport Rocket (number 192) goes from Terminals 2 and 3, arrivals level to Kipling subway. This relatively new service operates from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., seven days a week. One-way travel time is approximately 20 minutes. You can use the free airport shuttle bus to get from Terminal 1 (departure level - just inside, use the escalator). You can transfer to other buses and subway trains free from this bus (ask for a transfer from the driver if you plan to transfer to a bus). Exact cash fare is $2.25 (drivers don't sell tickets or make change). Tickets or tokens are $9.50 for 5 - sorry, I don't know where you would buy them at the airport but I could find out if you wish.
For timetables, maps, etc., see http://www.toronto.ca/ttc/index.htm
Other options are the Airport Express bus to the central hotels (Royal York, for example), limo (about $40 Cdn).
The City page has quite a lot of links and information: http://www.toronto.ca/
You ask about restaurants. What type? Budget? You should consider having Chinese or other Asian food (perhaps Dim Sum) while you are here. Many possibilities to choose from. Where are you staying?
