|Subject: Re: Travel costs|
The per day per person cost includes flight, all transportation, hotel, food, admissions, Internet cafe, etc.
We were staying in a studio apartment in Paris for three weeks and fixed some of our own meals. We had dinner or lunch out (usually dinner). We had a Europass and day tripped to the Loire Valley, Chartres, etc. In Bruges, we stayed at a b & b and in Haarlem, in a budget hotel.
We spent about $107 CDN ($73 USD) per day per person for everything except airfare and trains.
In our latest trip to Naples, we spent about $60 CDN ($40 USD) per person for meals, museums, transportation. However we got 3 day Campania Artecards which gave us free transportation on all buses, trains, funicular railways, etc. in the area including the Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii and Herculaneum, free entry to our first 2 sites and half price on some others. They cost 25 Euros and our first two were Pompeii and Herculaneum. A very good deal! http://www.campaniartecard.it/
