Subject: Re: Best meal - Allard in Paris
Dear Irene: We adored the bistro Allard, also. Here is the address:

Allard - tel: 01 43 26 48 23 - 41, rue Saint-Andre des Arts - (It's, I believe, in the 5th.) We ate here very late (after 10) it has a few rooms - all of which were packed with young and old French people - the portions are huge and the menu suggests sharing - which we did - we had pheasant w/ mushrooms and it was wonderful - (at that time, we had no reservations, but only had to wait 5 min or so.) At normal hours, I would suggest reservations. The duck w/ olives -- their signature dish -- is not to be missed, also. We've repeated our visits as this feels typically French -- and we've never been disappointed. Have fun! Susie Newton, MA
