|Subject: Planning for Paris|
As some of you know, I've been planning a return to Paris for June. My husband and I were last there on our honeymoon 14 (gulp) years ago, and it will be our daughter's first visit. She's 8, and Paris has been #2 on her list of places to see for 3 years.
Yesterday I booked my hotel: http://www.hotel-palais-bourbon.com my other choice, the hotel des tuileries, was twice the price for a family suite. I've selected a couple of possible flights, and I'm watching carefully, hoping they'll fall below $500 each for RT non-stop Chicago-CDG. At present, the AA flight is at $710, and Air France is still over $1000.
I haven't bought a carte musee, I see they are valid for 5 consecutive days, so I think I will buy it on our arrival day, and use it beginning the following day. Is there anything else I need to do before we leave? We are considering only one day trip, to Giverny.
Thanks everyone, as ever, for all your interesting posts.
