|Subject: Re: Paris and Santa Barbara|
A couple of things I'd like to mention:
Hi. Even though i am in London, UK My Fiance is just about to graduate from 4 years at UCSB. I must say that you're certainly living in a wonderful part of the world. You might note from my name that, despite the fact that I am English, my heritage comes from Scandinavia. Another Dane I'm afraid :-) With regards to your trip to Paris the high speed trains allow day trips to both London and Brussels. The sightseeing companies offer a selection of excellent day trips and half day trips out of the city. You may lose some 'independece' in your travels if that's what you're looking for, but you'll get to places that the train just doesn't go. These can be booked, often at short notice, in hotels and stores all over the city.
George and Marta,
I think that you'll just miss this, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. The UCSB Graduation ceremonies take place on the 8th, 14th and 15th June. I know from the experience of Amy's parents that accommodation in and around Santa Barbara is more or less sold out.
Best wishes to all, Jonathan Hansen Hertfordshire, UK
