|Subject: Re: Russia - tour vs. independent|
Two tier pricing in Russia is becoming a thing of the past.
The Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow no longer has two tier pricing, everyone pays the same, also at the Circus. Bolshi tickets can be ordered directly on line.
Most museums still have different prices for locals and foreigners.
Restaurants seemed to have single price.
Some hotels have a slight difference in room rates.
Local transportation now is single price, except if you use the services of a travel agent. I found that in some small cities, I did not have to pay for local transportation, as transportation is free for pensioners.
Russia can be a great place to visit, but you must do your homework before you go.
