Hello Linda,
Thank you for allowing me to come to this list. The summer I spent in Israel, I heard about from a friend. There were 3 of us from the University of Oklahoma that summer. He heard about it through the political science department. Roughly a year ago I was looking into different opprotunities online. I looked at search engines for English teaching positions because I knew they were popular and I also thought about the Peace Corps. One doesn't need to speak the language to get a teaching job, but it does help. I didnt know much Japanese when I came here but I am able to teach. I am now taking lessons and I still don't use Japanese in my class. Japan is really a great country. I`ve enjoyed it thus far. It has everything a person could possibly enjoy in a vacation. (Beautiful scenery, interesting culture, great night life, and friendly people). Next week I am going to Kyoto for 4 days (I have the week off this week) and I am sure I`ll have plenty of stories to share! Adam |
