Wow! What a great set of choices! I've been to both areas and would recommend the rockies. Both would be spectacular, but since Ketchican is water-bound, you'd have more choices of what to do in the Rockies. Jasper is fantastic, and there're many great hikes. Lake Louise and the hike to the six glaciers is not to be missed (it's not a strenuous hike, but wear good shoes if you do it.) The scenery will be more varied, and if the weather is bad, there's always the hot springs near Jasper to relax in. (Miet? I think they're called.) Do be careful of bears in the Rockies - had a scary run-in with one there.
