I forgot about Wallowa Llamas, a packing company specializing in not-too-extreme llama hiking adventures in Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness, often called the Switzerland of America. http://www.neoregon.com/wallowallamas.html
The hiking is moderate, maybe only 4 miles a day, & the llamas do all the work! The outfitters are wonderful, great outdoor cooks (had no problem modifying menus for my vegan preferences), & flexible in planning activities once at camp.
I loved having my young llama, Henry, huffing & chuffing behind me on the trail & watching the llama antics as they interracted with each other & us.
