I did not use the exact words that you wrote, but did continually ask how they could help me, and told them that I wanted to be switched to another airline since they cancelled the Dulles flight and there was no other reasonable flight that they could offer me. There WAS more than a four hour time difference.
Now that I have already purchased tickets on another airline (which I did because as I talked with agents of NW, and Destination Europe - Auto Europe's airfare branch through which I had purchased the tickets, flights on alternate airlines were filling up through the day) and been promised a full refund for the Northwest tickets, is there anything I can do about being refunded the difference I have had to pay since I was told I had to receive the refund and purchase the tickets myself?
