|Subject: Kihei, Maui|
We own a small condo in Kihei, Maui, and we spend four months a year in there.
The two primary upscale tourist areas of Maui are Kaanapali and Wailea, and if you have only a week to spend on Maui or if it is your first stay on the island, you might stay in one of these strictly tourist areas.
Kihei is more of a local town with stores, local restaurants, supermarkets, a movie, a drug store, and traffic. Kihei is ideal for a longer Maui stay. Kihei has the some of the best beaches on Maui. Kihei also has the best weather on Maui(more sun and less rain than the rest of the island); a wonderful choice in the winter. It is also generally less expensive to rent accommodations in Kihei.
I hope this gives you some idea of Kihei, Maui; our home away from home.
