Subject: Re: Where to wake up/a day in Paris |
Hi, Ziners... Well, I've given this a lot of thought :-) I would like to
wake up in Paris, open up my French doors and walk out into a garden to find
a table set with croissants, fresh fruit, and the au lait. After breakfast,
I'd walk to Saint Sulpice and sit awhile by the fountain and then hop a bus
to the Musee Rodin. After walking around the garden, looking at the roses,
I'd head for the Place de Trocadero and La Carette, where I'd stop for a
pain chocolat and some leisurely people watching. I'd spend the afternoon
in the Marais, just wandering around the narrow, winding streets, with a
stop at L'Occitane for some sweet smelling soap. Later, I'd pick up some
wonderful bread, fresh from the oven, from Au Levain du Marais. I'd wander
over to Place des Vosges to eat it, feeding the leftovers to the birds. In
the evening, I'd head for the Latin Quarter to Brasserie Balzar for a dinner
of Roast Chicken and frites. After dinner, I'd take a boat ride on the
Seine. Last, I'd stop for a final nightcap at Les Deux Magots before I
called it a night. When I went back to my hotel, my bed would be turned
down with one perfect piece of dark, rich chocolate on my pillow. Sweet
dreams :-)
