|Subject: Re: London high speed train to Edinburgh|
You commented: You don't say what time you are landing at Gatwick; it could actually make sense for you to directly catch a train at Kings Cross to somewhere a bit north of London and take a room, catch your Edinburgh train from there, thereby avoiding the morning pandemonium at Kings Cross station, which is a major commuting station. A quaint B&B at Huntingdon or Peterborough or some such.
Excellent idea. I am planning on spending 5 days in London on the way back from Scotland. I don't need to be in London heading out. I just want to make an easy train trip to Edinburgh but don't want to do this the same day I arrive at Gatwick.
I see your suggestions but how do I get there from Gatwick?
