|Subject: Re: Questions from a first timer to Europe!|
You've set out an ambitious itinerary for your trip to Europe! You're getting some good advice about trains, but I'd like to offer a caution.
You will have spent some time in your husband's home town, which will eliminate some of the days available for other traveling. Don't try to tackle too much! You'd hate to come home with only memories of train stations & vistas blurring by your train windows.
Try to imagine what memory you most want to come home with: dining at little Parisian sidewalk cafes? Wandering London's marvelous museums? Rhine castles in Germany? Then perhaps you can narrow your plans to a few places & concentrate your effors.
Planning, as those on this board will say, is a huge part of the fun!
