In the past, I haven't worn a hat nor have I bothered to use sun screen, but I know that I should do both, as I take two kinds of blood pressure meds that intensify the power of the sun. I got such a bad burn in Paris in April, no less, with puffy eyes and all. After the first couple of days, I bought some sun screen at L'Occitane. When you're outside walking all day long, even though you're going in and out of buildings, you get more sun than you realize.
