|Subject: Re: Please help with London, Germany & France|
When I was a teen traveling in Europe with my parents, my favorite thing to do was to just wander around the streets of whatever city or town we were in, wandering into shops, munching on treats from the bakeries or markets, and watching life in another city. I was too young to have much appreciation for art, so museums had very limited appeal for me. What I liked doing was pretending that I lived there. Cathedrals and castles were fun, though.
I'd also work on learning some French and German with them. Even in the areas where the locals must have been deeply sick of tourists, people were extraordinarily nice to a kid stumbling through their language.
