|Subject: Lesser known sights near your home town|
Greetings to all Ziners,
One truth I have found is that nearly every town, city, region and country has very interesting sights and places, that are not known to most tourists. In other words, they are the places the 'locals' know about, but never get much publicity or notice by the larger tourism industry.
I thought we might share some of those with each other.
A few weeks ago I wrote about the wineries and vineyards in the Yakima area, only a few hours of scenic driving from Seattle. This area is like the Napa-Sonoma area of Californai, 20-30 years ago before N-S hit the big time as a tourist destination.
Let's hear about the places the locals' visit when touring near your home town.
