You don't mention if you're taking all 10 days off work while your family is there. In the days you have off, I would take the family to relatively unknown (but interesting!) places, which are usually harder for visitors to find out about or to get to, and leave them to go on their own to the bigger, more famous tourist sites and cities, which always have well-organized tours, so they won't have to really do it own their own.
