|Subject: Re: What's fun in Montreal?|
Hey Kris, I'm from Montreal (the greatest city in North America by the way)
This summer there's the Jazz Fest, one of the biggest in the world from June
26th to July 6th. It's pretty cool, lots of outdoor free shows, and of
course, ones you must pay for. If you're in town for that festival, there's
also the International fireworks competition. Then from the 10th to the 20th
of July, there's the Just for laughs comedy fest, the biggest comedy fest in
the world. Again lots of outdoor free shows, and the headliners,
although...the main acts are probably already sold-out. Montreal is also one
of the only cities in the world built around a mountain... Mont Royal... a
beautiful refuge from the city, within 15 minutes walking from the downtown
area, (I have to warn you though.. to get to the top of Mount Royal to the
lookout.. is a climb of about 250 stairs... but it's well worth the
exercise. All in all, Montreal is a great city, especially in the summer.
Hope this helps.
