|Subject: British Narrowboats|
Greetings to all!
I've started planning for a couple of weeks in London and area for next July and/or late June with my two nephews -- one will be 13 and one will be 17.
A canal cruise on a narrowboat has really caught my eye. Although it's a bit pricier than just staying in regular accommodation, it sure sounds like a winner for a couple of teenaged boys. I was looking, in particular, at the Kennet & Avon Canal since we'd wanted to see Bath.
Does any one have any input on this mode of transportation? Good or bad experiences? Recommendations -- boat- or canal-wise? How disastrous would this choice be for three landlubbers, two of whom have been spectacularly seasick/motionsick in the past (that would include me!).
Thanks. Janice High & dry in Toronto
