|Subject: Normandy Hotel Recommendations|
Well, our plans are coming along well for Europe. I was so overwhelmed at first but appreciated all the advice received so far. Now I'm breaking the planning stages into smaller pieces and it is more manageable. We will spend Sept. 11-15 with relatives in Holland and go by rail to Paris. We've booked a hotel in Paris for three nights. After Paris we would like to stay in Normandy for two nights to see WWII sites (particularly the new Canadian Juno Beach Centre) plus Bayeaux (mostly for the Tapestry). My question right now is, would it be better to stay in Bayeaux or Caen? On the map, they both seem to be about equal distances away from Courseulles-sur-mer (where the Juno Beach Centre is) and they are both on the rail line. We'd be looking at taking a bus to the centre in either case. Any suggestions? Also, any recommendations regarding lodging?
Thanks! Brenda & Hans
