Subject: Re: Greece help -hopefully
Hi Tom - Greece is a vast country of many different moods and with great historic significance. It might be worthwhile for you to tell us what you're looking for (ruins? islands? seclusion? dancing?) Do you want cities or a mix? How long do you plan to spend in Greece and in what month will you go? Will you be renting a car? Do you want to stay in hotels or pensions or "studios?" Will you be traveling with your whole family?

We have been to Greece 6 times (and I went once by with a friend for Easter when I was in college studying in Europe) We adore Greece, to say the least, and this will take some looking into to get you what you might want.

I just posted a travelogue on the Zine and also photos that can be accessed through Ofoto.com (but you have to join for free) - Let me know if any of these islands interest you. Also, besides the mainland, we've been to Crete, Rhodes, Santorini, Ios, Paros, Naxos, Sifnos, Folegandros, Karpathos, Samos and Patmos -- Each has a little different flavor and you will, I suspect, love it there - especially if you are lucky enough to go either in May or in September (when the weather moderates and it is not so crowded)

I'm happy to help out in any way that I can. Yasou, Susie Newton, MA
