Subject: Re: Barcelona and Mallorca
Hello George,

One of the "quaintest" hotels I have known is the San Lorenzo (Carrer San Lorenzo 14 Fax: 971 711901) in Palma de Mallorca. It is in the heart of the old part of town. It is charming and we enjoyed it very much. It used to be a high class residence and they adapted it marvellously. We had a great room with a balcony and modern bathroom.

There is a beautiful garden with a pool at the top story with lots of flowers and at night it is lit up. The breakfast room is quite small with only four or five tables and feels like a private home. However it has very few rooms and suites so one has to make reservations well in advance.

In Barcelona we stayed at a large hotel, but one day while walking around the older part of the city we saw a charming hotel (did not see the rooms). The Mesón Castilla, near the Museum of Contemporary Art. I think it would be worth looking it up.

Hope this helps. Regards,
