Subject: London Orientation
Dear 'Ziners, bus trips are an excellent idea. The riverboat tours from Embankment (turn left out of the station for example) aren't bad - the crew have a good line in patter.

You can also get a good idea of the layout of the city with free maps available from Underground stations - there are some for cyclists that are plain 'street maps' style and some excellent ones that give a view as if from a tall building. The maps are in racks in the ticket hall, or they may have some behind the ticket counter.

The London Transport website is pretty cool - journey planner, spider diagrams for bus routes etc etc. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/

Take a look at disused Underground stations at the following site - fascinating! http://www.starfury.demon.co.uk/uground/

travel well, travel safe, enjoy your travels! all the best, Stewart, London, 98 degrees!
