|Subject: Re: Hotel Zanardelli - Rome|
Hi Barb - we had trouble contacting them at the number given in the
article, so Mike called them. We paid E125 (10 of which was air
conditioning- which had its own remote and made my husband's day). Our
room was a smaller one at first, when we came back from Sorrento it was a
larger room, and they honored the same rate.
This is a very small place, but quiet and cool - and in walking distance to many spots. Since you are going in November, air-conditioning probably won't be so important. The Tiber is a block away, and many of the buses depart from stops right at the Hotel. If breakfast is a big thing with you, you might want to pick another spot. The breakfast was certainly adequate - juice, fruit, yogurt, roll, coffee and tea - but it wasn't huge.
Here is the contact info off their card - Reservation desk - 39.06.68809760 FAX-39.06.6880380 http://www.hotelnavona.com/
We stayed at Hotel Spring House last year - near Vatican Museum - and rooms were nice, good breakfast, think it was E135 last year.
Relatives have stayed at Alimandi and loved it - it was full when we tried. Good luck, I'm ready to return again already! Ann
